The understanding and use of informatics in nursing has become an integral part of providing patient care and the use of such as been shown to promote positive patient outcomes. (Aacn, pg.7).  It is essential that the preparation of student nurses include exposure to the use of informatics across the lifespan and across the healthcare continuum.  The intent of the research article assignment is to expose the student nurse to the dynamic impact informatics is having on nursing.  The research assignment will be submitted through safe-assign on blackboard.
