Part A – Chapter 2

  1. Read & understand the concept, Wheel of Retailing. Identify 1 retailer (online or physical store) for each of the 4 stages and briefly explain why you think they belong to these stages. Explain in terms of price, margin and customer awareness or reputation. There must a total of 4 retailers you provide.
  2. Identify the NAICS code for the industry these retailers belong to. Check the web links provided in the PowerPoint outline for Chapter 2. Look at NAICS Codes that fall under 44 – Retail Trade. It must be a 6 digit code.

Part B – Chapter 3

  1. Take any one retailer that you used in Part A and write about their marketing channel. What channel does this retailer use? (direct, indirect etc.). Explain briefly.
  2. What type of channel strategy does it have? Explain briefly.
