Professors outline: This is an argumentative research essay. Students must provide a strong thesis statement which addresses one of the following questions/comments through an assertive argumentative stance. This thesis must be supported by research undertaken outside of the course material.

Research Question: Both the punitive and restorative approaches have been used to bring justice in the wake of gross violations of human rights. Which approach do you consider to be more effective?

Looking for a clear concise paper, with a strong argument and statistics to back it up.

Minimum points to touch on:
Human rights violations
Domestic law and its failure to address human rights violations
International law and its failure to address human rights violations
and why they have both failed
discuss and define both punitive and restorative justice and which one is more effective.

State a clear thesis of: This paper argues….. and follow it throughout the paper

Minimum of 8 references must be used however, this is not a limit.
